The Binova story began in 1958 with Giovanni and Francesco Bolletta who, as young carpenters in a workshop in Assisi, grew up in the passion and art of woodworking, creating Binova, the Umbrian company that has made a name for itself in the world of high quality. Since then, Binova has become even more committed to producing kitchen environments, exploring the potential of wood, materials science and mechanics. A cultural and technological challenge, in the face of demanding production processes that are constantly being pushed towards new materials, thanks to a research and development centre within the company that has produced important and revolutionary inventions and patents.
Years of research and design growth have led Binova to express extraordinary care in the choice of materials, processing and furniture production systems. Prestigious architects and designers, invaluable collaborators, guarantee a taste for refined contemporaneity that is both ergonomic and functional, making Binova kitchens and environments authentic laboratories of taste and pleasure. In 2018, the move to the Cubo Design group, founded by Antonio Arangiaro, added a new multidirectional engine: new investments, a renewed passion for research and product development, the project for a large state-of-the-art factory, in which the entire production chain has been brought together to ensure maximum control and constant quality of the entire production process. Binova is an emblem of Italian design the world over: rigorously elegant, it displays its solid, unalterable charm without fear of time.
2018 is a truly historic year for Cubo Design. A radical reorganisation of its main assets is being carried out, through a reading of the future inspired by efficiency, effectiveness and respect for the environment, which in the new 25,000 m² centre takes shape thanks to fully integrated technical, IT and energy solutions: the Factory-One factory is born. A futuristic structure in which kitchen production is confronted and resolved with intelligent systems, thanks to the total integration of processes and human control.
A linear path rather than one with islands of work, made up of highly technological machines, interconnected and characterised by absolute precision, constantly guaranteed by the controls carried out by a specialised workforce. Special sensors that exploit the network connection allow the various stages of industrial processing to be monitored and the status of the equipment to which they are connected to known in real time. A system of excellence, in which the concept of Industry 4.0 is fully implemented, becoming the driving force behind CuboDesign's business.
